SINGAPORE — The NBA 3X Singapore 2013, which was supposed to start on Friday and end on Sunday will not take place at the scheduled outdoor venue at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza in Orchard Road because of the haze which has enveloped the city and the region.
With the PSI hovering between the unhealthy and hazardous levels, promoters Black Dot said it was a risk to the health of the 100 local teams that were expected to take part in the United State’s franchise inaugural event here.
Nick Fang, executive director of Black Dot, said they are now trying to find an alternative indoor venue but whether this will take place as well will depend on the extent of the haze pollution.
But he is hopeful that the entertainment events that have been scheduled to take place around the NBA 3X, could still go on without health risk even if it is unsafe for the competition to go on.
